It’s a little more mystery/thriller like-thriller lite I’d say. I read this the summer after I graduated from high school and simply fell in love with the world. Silver Girl-If you’ve been reading for a while, you’ll know this is my first Elin and one of my favorites for that reason. And it’s got just the right amount of steam. The way Elin describes her garden and the food in this book is kind of to die for. I’m always shocked by people who don’t like this one, because I think it’s so fun! It may be a bit predictable plot wise, but the characters are so good and I want to live in Grace’s house. To find any of these books and their synopsis, visit Little Brown’s website! I’m breaking down this list by my favorites, books I have left to read, and the ones I’ve read and liked, but didn’t love. I tend to gravitate toward her novels during the summer months, but you definitely can read them any time! She also has PLENTY to choose from-and believe it or not, I’ve not read all her books. The days being longer, the endless possibilities and feeling exhausted from the sun.īut the of Elin’s books is that she can give you a dose of summer all year long. But there is something so magical about summer. I would always say I am a Fall/Winter girl, because I love being cozy and obviously I am a Christmas lover. I always feel kind of sad and nostalgic about summer ending. But I have, over the course of writing 15 novels, fallen prey to the distractions," Hilderbrand said.As summer begins to fade, I figured it was time to round up my favorite Elin Hilderbrand books. Hilderbrand said she doesn't have "the luxury of writer's block" because she has to write two novels each year. "Then the friend writes about her best friend's novel as it's happening and is having some sort of moral qualms about it," Hilderbrand described. She tells her best friend and the friend writes about her in a book. The book tells the story of two best friends, one of whom is having an affair. And people say, 'What do you do in the winter?' And I say, 'We talk about one another,'" Hilderbrand said. And I live on Nantucket, which is four miles wide and 13 miles long and is a fishbowl. Now the "queen of the summer novel" is releasing her latest novel, "The Rumor," which takes readers back to Nantucket for the 15th time. I'd have to say, 'Can I please have my breast back, guys?' But I'm now fully reconstructed and I'm healthy and I'm cancer free. My teenage boys would throw it at each other.
